Prairie Pollinator Harvest Dinner
Join us for an unforgettable Prairie Tour and Harvest Dinner with Little Sioux Stems, a specialty cut flower farm dedicated to growing beautiful, seasonal blooms while promoting sustainability and connection to the land. Through a unique partnership with The Prairie Flower, LLC and the Iowa Learning Farms program at Iowa State University (ISU), this one-of-a-kind evening pairs an exceptional meal with the opportunity to learn about and connect more deeply to the land that sustains us. Education is interwoven throughout the evening, deepening the connections between people, pollinators, plants, and the beauty of Iowa’s landscape.
The evening will begin at The Prairie Flower, LLC (1760 290 th St. | Spencer, IA 51301), where guests will partake in a guided prairie tour, exploring Iowa’s native prairie and wetlands at the height of summer, when vibrant wildflowers and pollinators bring Iowa’s native landscape to life. As guests breathe in the fresh air, the prairie and wetlands offer meaningful opportunities to reconnect—with nature, with others, and with the landscape that sustains us. Please arrive between 5:00-5:15pm to allow time for boarding the people-mover ahead of the tour.
Following the guided prairie tour, the evening will continue at Little Sioux Stems (1648 260th St. | Milford, IA 51351), where guests will enjoy a seasonal menu featuring locally sourced ingredients, served outdoors in a gorgeous setting that reflects the beauty and richness of Iowa’s working landscapes.
