Plants
We not only specialize in cut flowers, but also perennials, shrubs and trees. Whether its a clients property or our own, we are working with these plants daily. Since we have a background in landscape design and horticulture, we are happy to supply a small selection of plants and help you with figuring out what fits your property/location best. We are starting small with these offerings but will gradually be adding to our inventory.

Perennials and Shrubs
I am very excited to offer a wide variety of perennials and shrubs this year. These brokers are who I have been ordering from the last few years and are a great cut flower varieties as well as exceptional landscape specimens. These are plants I use regularly at the farm and in landscape designs for customers. Unfortunately, I was notified that this is a very time sensitive order and I must have it submitted by January 29th unless I am notified sooner, therefor I will be closing orders Monday the 29th at Noon to ensure it is submitted on time. Sometimes brokers experience crop failure, or have damage in shipping. Unfortunately, that is out of anyone’s control and it is just part of dealing with plant material, so I just want to make you aware of the possibility. If this happens, you will be notified ASAP via your contact info at check out. Please be sure to leave your best email and phone number to access you. If something happens with any of the items, you will be refunded or given the option to sub a different item. These plants are tentatively set to ship March 25th- April 5th and will arrive as dormant plugs or bare roots.
This year I am going to offer two options for purchase.
These plants do not have a guarantee however they are triple inspected and I also personally inspect each one upon arrival. For our area, you are always safest to purchase Zone 4 perennials. The USDA in the last couple years has changed our area to a Zone 5A, however, the weather says otherwise some winters and we are right on the border of 5A. You may have Zone 5 perennials and shrubs make it several years in the garden and then one spring they don’t come back. Please pay attention to the Zone on the image (plant care sheet) when selecting your plants. If you have any questions about specific plants, please feel free to contact me at 712-480-0307 and I will be happy to help.
Note: All sales are final and may not be refunded unless items are damaged or not received. Shipping is not available. Local farm pick up only by scheduled appointment.
First option
Higher price of the two and will include myself potting up the items upon arrival and taking care of them until the first week of May, when you can pick up. This option includes the cost of each pot and soil.
Second option
I sort your items, box/bag them up as is (dormant bare root or plug) and you must pick up within 5 days of my notifying you that your order is ready, unless we discussed prior arrangements. If not, you risk them drying out or getting moldy in packaging as they have to be bagged to keep items separated with tags. These bare roots/plugs can be planted straight into the garden/landscape in April if the ground is thawed. This option will have a $4 discount. I am not sure if I will continue to offer this option each year, however, I decided to try it and if all goes well, I will continue to offer it.
Allium Bulbs
All allium bulbs arrive the end of September-October and should be planted in the fall to then enjoy a spring bloom. All varieties are deer and rabbit resistant.
